If you need some fun news in the midst of the current craziness that’s going on in the world, Onetribemag is here to help. One story that has us smiling is the news about a new Powerpuff Girl joining the squad. The new addition will be voiced by 15 different celebrities from around the world, one being South African singer-songwriter and rapper Toya Delazy. Toya Delazy previously worked with Cartoon Network, making a South African version of the Powerpuff Girl theme song for the reboot in 2016.

According to NME, Jamie Ondarza the Senior Vice President of Turner Broadcasting in Southern Europe and Africa has said, “Toya is definitely a perfect fit as the fourth Powerpuff Girl. She is confident, bubbly and quirky, all the values that we are familiar with, love and appreciate. We have a lot of surprises up our sleeves.” The black Powerpuff Girl will be unveiled later this week on Cartoon Network on September 17th, in their new five part movie, The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four and I, for one, can’t wait to see Toya in action.
