2017 was an amazing year for Afrobeats. Can we give a shoutout to ALL the producers? You guys are seriously underrated (check out our list of the top producers this year, here). Adey is someone you have heard of but you have not. “Juice”, produced by Adey, “Wavy Level”, produced by Adey, “Paper” produced by Adey “Detty Yourself” also produced by Adey. The producer hits the studio and makes this track. Hopefully Adey releases a project soon.

After their “beef” it was good to see the two popular artists put their wahala to the side and collaborate.

While Sauti Sol isn’t exactly afrobeats, putting Patoranking on the feature and making such an infectious chorus and positive message for all our melanin rich girls, it deserves to be on this list.
