New Artist Spotlight: Toyé

“This is Toyé coming at you live and direct, the faaji waY”

Oluwatoyin Oladehinde A. K. A. Toyé is an Atlanta born and Ibadan bred artist ready to take his talents to music industry. Although Toyé was born in Atlanta, he schooled in Nigeria at Olashore International School and is now back in America, currently a University senior working to leave his mark on and off the Mic.

With his new age Fuji sound, he’s creating his own lane in the Afrobeats world. Toyé started developing music back in December of 2016 when he followed a friend to the studio and freestyled his first song called “America”.

On why he loves music, Toyé said music to him is how he can express his own creative outlets and being a part of something much bigger than himself. Seeing the joy on people’s faces once they hear his work is what has made it all worth while.

“A lot of ideas float around in my head and I’ve gotta put it out somehow, so I guess music is the medium I choose for expression”

When asked, he credits his musical influences for his unique sound to a mixture of Lagbaja, Micheal Jackson, Dbanj, Flavour, and Obesere.
