ICYMI: New music from Tiwa Savage, Wale, Skepta, and Wande Coal

Last night while you were sleeping, some of your favs dropped some music for your headtops to get us prepared for their upcoming projects. With summer around the corner, which one of these could be the next summer anthem?

Starting with Tiwa Savage who dropped “Tiwa’s Vibe” produced by Spellz. It seems like Tiwa is getting ready to start her album rollout as she’s promoting this song heavy, and recently announcing that “Ma Lo” ft Wizkid hit 20 Million views on YouTube. Are you ready for her first official album under Roc Nation? Listen to her summer vibe below.

Up next, we have Wale who’s back with the 2nd EP in a row since becoming an independent artist. Unlike the It’s Complicated EP, this project features a more aggressive and socially conscious Wale as he raps about everything from his label situation, Colin Kaepernick, MAGA hats, and of course…black excellence. If this is indicative of what his next album may sound like, he’s on the right track. Listen to his Self Promotion EP below.

Hailing from the UK, Skepta releases a terrifying track named “Pure Water”. Looks like gaining that Chieftaincy title of Amuludun of Odo-Aje in Ogun State is rubbing off on him as he is embracing his Nigerian roots a lot more these days. It’s no surprise that his BBK Homecoming concert last month featured Nigerian heavyweights from Davido, Ajebutter 22, to Jhus, Santi and more. On this new track however, he proves that there is no other artist like him as he flows effortlessly on his signature nightmarish production. Drinking pure water with lots of ice is the new mood for Summer ’18. Listen below.

Black Diamond Entertainment CEO and legendary artist, Wande Coal isn’t slowing down anytime soon as he is back with another jam, “So mì so”. On the production side, Juls lays down a simple loop that ends off with a subtle but intriguing saxophone solo. The beat is easy on the ears but infectious enough for Wande Coal to deliver smooth vocals and a chorus you can’t forget. Will this be as big “Iskaba”? Only time will tell. Shaku Shaku approved, listen to the track below!
