One of Nollywood’s most beloved actresses, Genevieve Nnaji, recently ventured into a new space—this time around taking control behind the camera, as a director. The movie in question is Lionheart, starring Genevieve Nnaji, Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie and Onyeka Onwenu. Lionheart is set to be a family drama, where Adaeze (Genevieve Nnaji) fights to help save her family’s business, the Lionheart Transport company. The film recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and has created major waves by being the first Nollywood film to be originally purchased by the heavyweight video streaming service that is Netflix.
