Rapper Blaqbonez has impressed music audience with his debut album with Chocolate City Bad Boy Blaq and the sophomore follow-up Bad Boy Blaq: Re-Up. The albums did very well in numbers and were praised by rap enthusiasts who see him as an icon for the revival of the fading rap culture in the Nigerian music scene.
Blaqbonez takes a step outside his rap career and collaborates with SIJ Culture, a clothing brand that makes streetwear, to drop his “GOODBOY” fashion apparel.

The inspiration for this merchandise comes from his song “Good Boy” off his Re-Up album. The rapper featured DRB Lasgidi artist, BOJ, and record label colleague, CKay on this joint. It was no surprise that the Good Boy Association anthem became a favorite off his album among fans as the song was a brilliant one where the artists dropped verses using witty wordplay to acknowledge themselves to be actual good boys.
The GOODBOY collection has various shirts and bag designs and is set to debut on the 25th of March, 2019. Blaqbonez further excites his fans with the offer of the first 30 pre-orders to be delivered by the rapper himself! This sent fans into a frenzy of pre-ordering the product to stand a chance in meeting the rap artist.
We reached out to SIJ Culture about the collection and he recounted that the collaboration was inspired by the Good Boy Association and the rapper decided to “Let out a line from the GBA”.
“We’ve been working on it for about a month. Blaqbonez like his work perfect so we had to cancel and redo our designs a lot of times. He put in great work before he let out this line.”
SIJ Culture also made it known that the product range can possibly expand in the future to other clothing products apart from the shirts and bags designs it offers now.
