
Africa Day: ASA and Mr Eazi to headline Bassline Fest in Jo’burg
Twelve of the continent’s freshest entertainers are set to raise the bar this year when the Bassline Fest returns to celebrate Africa Day on 25 May, 2019 at Johannesburg’s Constitution Hill.
The Africa Day celebrations are an exhilarating musical experience aimed to showcase African music, culture and diversity. Under a 25-year celebratory theme, the Bassline Fest will not only celebrate Africa day, but also a milestone 25 years of democracy in South Africa, as well as the celebration of BASSLINE’s silver jubilee.

BASSLINE FEST forms part of the Johannesburg leg of the IGODA Festival Circuit. Festivals represented by the IGODA circuit include Azgo Festival – Mozambique, MTN Bushfire – Swaziland, Zakifo Festival – Durban, South Africa, Sakifo Festival – Reunion Island.
The circuit presents an ease of opportunity for artists to travel the continent. International artists will often share the circuit and can be seen at several of the festivals over the same space of time, allowing fans from across the continent that exposure.
