Heartbreak Personified in Gyakie’s “Never Like This” Music Video

Wate makoma falaa. You broke my heart unpleasantly.

Gyakie takes us on a journey of heartbreak and forgiveness through her song “Never Like This”. Jackline Acheampong, better known as Gyakie, has garnered her praise from the likes of Nana Aba Anamoah, Ko-Jo Cue and Caroline Sampson and has globally began to build momentum.

Using a combination of Twi, a Ghanaian language, and English, the rhythm of the track takes the listener on a ride from sadness to relief as Gyakie sings bold well wishes to the man in question, sending him good tidings in his next love life.

This song is accompanied by astounding visuals in a Gold Coast forest as Gyakie and her muse come to terms with their break up showcasing pain, closure and lost love. Watch Never Like This music video here.
