Loe Addè (Lekan Adepegba) was born in Washington, D.C. on March, 25th of 1994 to Nigerian parents and raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY as well as Chicago and Maryland. LOE fell in love with rhyming at age 10 and began teaching himself how to freestyle and write rhymes. In recent years, LOE has managed to draw the attention of local producers and artists in the place of his current residence, Maryland, as well as a local audience that are fans of his creative music projects. After a brief Hiatus, LOE is back with a new visual for his latest song, “Ahkie.”
In this particular song, LOE demonstrates his wordplay skills while addressing a message about life trials and decisions that have been made recently within the low to middle-class society. Shot by west coast videographer Local Boy, the video portrays LOE in a beautiful meadow reciting song lyrics in various positions. Each shot represents a different emotion and perspective the single narrates.
“Ahkie” is not only meant to honor the legacy of his cousin who he lost but also to mark a new beginning for the Maryland lyricist. Watch the video below!
