Wisdom and Marvy blend Harmonies on Afro-Infused Duet “Stay”
Nigerian singer, Wisdom collaborates with Marvy to breathe to life a love song dubbed “Stay,” delivered in English and the West African language of “Yoruba”. This comes off the back of his 2019 feel-good summer slapper, “Happy”.
Growing up in Nigeria, Wisdom was exposed to a wide variety of music. Like several other musicians, Wisdom honed his soulful voice and other musical talents by performing with his church choir. Graduating with a degree in Petroleum Chemistry and Engineering from the America University of Nigeria in 2011, he decided to give music a real swing in 2016, working with Nigerian artists Maire, King Mufasa, and Dammy Krane.
On his latest single, “Stay”, Wisdom features Afropop songstress Marvy. The beautiful love song is an embodiment of passion and love flooding through your speakers; a song primed to sit on multiple playlists, especially in this season of love.
“Stay” is not only characterized by a tone that makes you want to hit the dancefloor, but also gripping lyrics that makes you want to grab the ones closest to your heart, look them in the eye and tell them to ‘Stay’.
Both vocalists do a brilliant job of delivering a classic love duet. Wisdom flexes his soulful voice on the mid-tempo track with masterful control, whereas Marvy graces the mic on the second verse, unleashing a beautiful voice singing in the Yoruba dialect.
“Stay” comes as an installment off of Wisdom’s (Not) Just A Man album and was written by Marvy, recorded at Nexxtlevel studios in Houston, Texas and produced by Nigerian music legend, ID Cabasa.
